the goal of alchemical rounds is to create simple, intuitive, and accessible plant based medicine, using ethically and locally sourced organic herbs from the pnw.
at the core, my heart’s desire is that ara will serve as a mirror for those seeking to return their attention to the earth, to our soul’s remembering of the medicine all around us. I hope these potions & balms open a doorway to your curiosity of the plant-world and all it has to offer.
story
my name is brittany and i’m a first generation american living in the pnw. my family emigrated from the azores to massachusetts, where they were surrounded by the familiar salty sea, smell of fish, and abundance of boats. my connection with the earth has always been a tether to comfort and strength. namely, the ocean and the scent of beach roses.
throughout my life i’ve been a shapeshifting artist with the desire to help people feel a little less alone. as I continue to grow, I hope to carry this intention through the eyes of the plants, in whichever way they see fit.
a note on wild-harvesting:
some balms are made with plant material that was ethically wild-harvested, meaning causing as little damage to the plants as possible. this is done by assessing the plants and what they are willing to give, never harvesting from vulnerable plant populations, making offerings, and taking a very small amount. these balms are offered in small batches, as they are available.
